Day 1: Casablanca - Rabat
Arrive in Casablanca and begin your journey by exploring the city’s highlights. Visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, and stroll along the Corniche. Afterward, continue to Rabat, Morocco's capital city. Explore the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Hassan Tower, and the Kasbah of the Oudaias, an ancient fortress with panoramic views over the Atlantic. Spend the night in Rabat.
Day 2: Rabat - Asilah - Tangier
Start your day with a drive from Rabat to the coastal town of Asilah. Known for its vibrant blue and white architecture, Asilah is a charming spot to wander. After exploring the town, continue your journey to Tangier, a bustling city on the Mediterranean coast. Explore the Medina, the Kasbah, and the American Legation Museum. Enjoy the view from the beach and relax in this culturally rich city. Overnight in Tangier.
Day 3: Tangier
Spend a full day in Tangier, discovering its unique history and mix of influences. Visit the Kasbah Museum, stroll through the Medina, and explore the Grand Socco square. Don’t miss the famous Caves of Hercules, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean. In the evening, enjoy the lively atmosphere of the city. Overnight in Tangier.
Day 4: Tangier - Chefchaouen
Travel south to Chefchaouen, the picturesque "Blue City" nestled in the Rif Mountains. Wander through the maze of blue-painted streets, visit the Kasbah, and enjoy panoramic views of the city from the Spanish Mosque. Chefchaouen is known for its peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, so take your time to explore this beautiful town. Spend the night in Chefchaouen.
Day 5: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes
After breakfast, depart for the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its well-preserved mosaics and historic structures. Continue your journey to Meknes, one of Morocco's imperial cities. Explore the Bab Mansour gate, the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, and the vibrant Medina. In the evening, head to Fes for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Fes
Spend the day exploring the iconic city of Fes. Visit the Fes el-Bali Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and explore its labyrinth of narrow streets. Discover the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque, the Bou Inania Madrasa, and the famous tanneries. Enjoy wandering through the bustling souks and soaking up the rich cultural heritage of this imperial city. Overnight in Fes.
Day 7: Fes - Merzouga via Ifrane
Travel south toward the Sahara Desert, passing through the charming town of Ifrane, often referred to as "Little Switzerland" due to its alpine-style architecture and natural surroundings. Continue through the scenic Middle Atlas mountains to reach Merzouga in the late afternoon. Upon arrival, embark on a camel ride to watch the breathtaking sunset over the Erg Chebbi dunes, and spend the night in a desert camp under the stars.
Day 8: Merzouga - Boumalne Dades via Todra Gorge
Rise early to witness the sunrise over the dunes. Then, travel to Boumalne Dades, passing through the stunning Todra Gorge, a narrow canyon with towering rock formations. Enjoy the dramatic landscapes and stop to explore Berber villages along the way. Arrive in Boumalne Dades, where you will spend the night.
Day 9: Boumalne Dades - Ait Benhaddou - Atlas Studios - Marrakech
Today, continue your journey to Ouarzazate, stopping to visit Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its fortified kasbahs and appearances in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Continue to the Atlas Studios, where many famous movies have been filmed. Afterward, drive through the scenic Tizi n'Tichka Pass in the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, arriving in the evening. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 10: Marrakech
Spend a full day exploring Marrakech. Visit the famous Jemaa el-Fna Square, the Koutoubia Mosque (viewed from the outside), and the Saadian Tombs. Wander through the Bahia Palace, the Majorelle Garden, and the Ben Youssef Madrasa. Enjoy the lively atmosphere of the Medina, shop for souvenirs in the souks, and enjoy traditional Moroccan cuisine at a local restaurant. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 11: Marrakech - Essaouira
Take a day trip to Essaouira, a beautiful coastal city on the Atlantic Ocean. Explore the UNESCO-listed Medina, visit the bustling fish market, and enjoy fresh seafood by the beach. Walk along the city’s historic port, lined with fishing boats, and relax on the beach. Spend the night in Essaouira.
Day 12: Essaouira - Casablanca
On your final day, travel back to Casablanca. Depending on your flight time, you may have the chance to visit some last-minute attractions or shop for souvenirs before your departure. Enjoy your last Moroccan meal before heading to the airport for your flight home.
